RANDOM THOUGHTS... Our beach is sandy with a sandy lake bottom. The water stays shallow a long way out. You can walk for miles on our beach. Our grasses grow wildflowers and our stream is a magnet for kids who like to catch frogs. We are just a few miles north of the town of Oscoda & the AuSable River. There's lots of places that will deliver a pizza. The following cell phone companies worked somewhere... ...at least outside...when we checked: AT & T Sprint Nextel Alltel Verizon We're on "city" water. Our shoreline area is nice and sandy, with plenty of room to spread out and play....or relax.
IF YOU'RE WONDERING HOW TO GET HERE... The closest airport is Alpena, Michigan which is just over an hour north of us. Last time we checked, Delta had two flights a day flying in, one early and one later. Car rental is onsite. Airports are also in Flint, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Traverse City.
OR, WHAT ELSE CAN YOU FIND HERE.... The AuSable River, National Forest and of course, Lake Huron and lots of interior lakes, offer just about every outdoor activity: swimming, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking, birding and boating... you'll find it close by. ......Did we mention golfing? There are at least five courses withing 30 minutes. We'll be happy to help you round out your trip with off-property activities.
